BOB
from the English original: Best Of Breed - or put in another words "Winner of the breed". This award is given to only one representative of individual breeds, which the judge selects as the best of the shown creatures of one breed at a dog show. So, at a dog show, there is usually as many BOB awards as there are breeds. All most beautiful breed representatives, those with the BOB, go on to the following event at the end of the dog show, competing for the BIG title (or BOG).
 
CAC
Certificat d´Aptitude au Championat - expectancy of the title of national champion of beauty. This title is awarded to males and females in the interclass, open class, working class and champion class (winners class) given the mark "excellent 1", at international, national, club and special dog shows in the Czech republic. It is an unexcercised title and need not be awarded in all classes, no matter how many dogs participate, it is only awarded to dogs of extraordinary quality.
 
CACIB
Certificat d´Aptitude au Championat International de Beauté - expectancy of the title of international champion of beauty - Interchampion. 4x CACIB and performance of other conditions may lead to the title.
 
CAJC
expectancy of the national title of "young champion of beauty". It is awarded to males and females in the youth class only.
 
FCI
Fédération Cynologique Internationale - international cynological federation,founded in 1911. This international organisation unites breeding principles, judging and showing of pedigree dogs. The founding countries of the FCI were 4 European countries only - Belgium, France, Holland and Austria. Today, many cynological organisations of the five continets are members of it. The residence is in Belgium. Czech cynological organisations are under the FCI and they are represented by the Bohemian and Moravian cynological union, CMKU.
 
CH. (Ch. or Champ.)
the bearer of the title "champion of beauty". Males and females can be awarded the title from different countries. Every country has its own rules for bestowal of the title. Conditions for bostowing the title "Czech champion" (or "National champion) are: minimum of 4 CACs awarded in at least 2 showing seasons, from at least 2 different judges and at least 2 must be from 2 international dog shows. A dog with the title "champion" has the right to be at international dog shows even abroad assigned to the champion class and at other types of dog shows to the winners class.
 
ICH. (INT., or Ich.)
Interchampion - "international champion of beauty". If a male or a female is awarded CACIB four times in at least 3 countries (one must be in the country of permanent residence of the dog owner, or the country of origin of the individual breed), from at least three different judges, and between the first and the last (fourth) CACIB title must be a time slack longer than one year. Another condition of bestowing the Ich. title is also the fact that the creature must have a pedigree of at least 3 full generations written in the pedigree books of FCI.
 
JCH. (Jch.)
youth champion - a male or a female which are awarded CAJC at least three times in the youth class, or CAJC twice and CAC once till the age of 2 from at least 2 different judges, can be given the title "Czech junior champion". This title does not entitles the dog to be shown in the champion class.
 
r.CAC (Res.CAC)
animals awarded with the mark "excellent 2" can be given the title Res.CAC. This is bestowed independently to a male and a female in the champion (winners), working, open and interclass and only to dogs of extraordinary quality, to which the judge would give the CAC title, were there not the dog which was given the "excellent 1", CAC. If CAC CZ is obtained by a certified Czech champion, CAC is given to the dog with res.CAC in the class. Confirmation of the title must be verified by the owner of the dog with res.CAC at the CMKU secretariate.
 
r.CACIB (Res.CACIB)
psovi/feně na druhém místě, za jedincem, který obdržel ocenění CACIB (jen na výstavách mezinárodních), může rozhodčí udělit Res.CACIB.

"excellent", it is a mark given both at dog shows, competitions and examinations, we can say it is a mark of the "1" quality. If there is a number added to this letter at a dog show, it means that the dog is of a typical exterior for the breed and the number marks the rank of the best four animals in the class.
 
VD
"very good", it is a mark given both at dog shows, competition and examinations, we can say it is a mark of the "2" quality. If there is a number added to this letter, it means that the dog is of a "very good" exterior for the breed and the number marks the rank of four best animals in the class.
